WHAT IS ADR?

It means Alternative Dispute Resolution.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

This is a way of settling dispute without resorting to litigation.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF ADR?

It is less expensive, it is faster than litigation.

It is faster as at is not time consuming like the normal court process.

It gives room for continuity of friendship as the process will result to win — win. situation where both parties will go home happy. Unlike the court process which it's winners take all and the loosing party will be at war for life with the winner.

It need not be overseen by a lawyer as anybody can do it.

WHO CAN BE A DISPUTE RESOLUTION SPECIALIST?

Anybody can be. You need not be a lawyer before you can be CERTIFIED a specialist. All you need is just a qualifying certificate after the course.

WHAT IS THE RELEVANCE OF THE CERTIFICATE?

With the qualifying certificate, you are now a Dispute Resolution Specialist (D.R.S). The implication is that you are now free to run your Settlement House, and the title (DRS) will be attached to your name. E.g. (Omiunu Ebaide Queen D.R.S)

IS THE TRAINING ALL ABOUT ADR?

No the training is not all about ADR. We also train people on business management. Here you are taught how to get the best from your customers and proposed clients. We also train you on how to always have an edge above your colleagues in all your endeavours. We also train people on peaceful coexistence and family life style.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE TRAINING?

The training is divided into three (3) sections. Section 1 Is about conflict. In this section, a detailed analysis is given on the definition of conflict, types of conflict , how it is initiated and how is it differentiated from ordinary misunderstanding e.t.c

Section 2 is on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) It's meaning types, application e.t.c

Session 3 is divided into (2):-

(i) The first section is on communication. Here, you will be taught how to communicate with people via the use of appropriate words and body language. We will teach you how to seat corporately, demonstrate, dress in different occasion. We will also teach you the type of clients and customers we have and how to deal with each of them accordingly.

(ii) In the second arm of third section, we will be training you strictly on human behaviour, and how to Explore the behavioural defects of men using the Tim lahaye's theory to get what you want from your client/customers always.

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW AT THE END OF THE TRAINING?

At the end end of training, you will know:

1. The meaning of ADR, types, application, Advantage.

2. Meaning of conflict, types, Identification etc.

3.Communication skills, human behaviour, how to identify each behaviour, The strength and weaknesses of each behaviour, and how to explore the strength and weaknesses of your customer/ client to achieve a desired aim.

AFTER THE TRAINING WHAT NEXT?

You will be awarded a certificate and declared a certified Dispute Resolution Specialist.
